General information

The NATO HQ Recruitment Office deals with applications for the International Staff of NATO in Brussels.

The following list should enable prospective candidates to understand the grading structure :

A-grade posts managerial/professional level
L-grade posts linguistic positions
B-grade posts secretarial/clerical level
secretarial staff
C-grade posts manual and technical posts

Only nationals from the 26 member states can apply for vacancies at NATO.The member states are:

NB : We cannot keep applications pending for future vacancies, and a candidate can only be considered in the case that his/her profile matches a current staff vacancy.

After selection, a number of formalities have to be completed before employment (personal security check carried out by the national authorities of the nation of citizenship and in-depth medical check-up). This can be a lengthy procedure.

Please note that only applicants who succeed in the initial screening will receive a response. Due to the large amount of applications received for NATO vacancies, telephone, e-mail or telefax enquiries cannot be dealt with.
