Basic Requirements for "A" Grade Staff

Category A is divided into seven grades designated A.7 to A.1; it covers posts ranging from Deputy Assistant Secretary General to Junior Administrative Assistant.

In addition to a University degree, A-grade posts require a professional experience of several years in the subject matter of the particular post (at least 2 or 3 years not including periods of training), together with a good knowledge of the two official NATO languages (English and French).
