These NIGs propose the establishment of Networking Academies in eleven countries: all of the SILK countries – including Afghanistan – and Moldova and Belarus.

In these Networking Academies, the ‘Networking Academy Program’, developed by Cisco Systems will be taught. The ‘Networking Academy Program’ is a comprehensive e-learning program that provides students with Internet technology skills such as network security and JAVA programming. The Networking Academy Program delivers web-based content, online assessment, student performance tracking, hands-on labs, instructor training and support, and preparation for industry standard certifications.
