From Science
to Business
Due to an unexpected overwhelming interest from the scientific community,
the organisers have encountered several administrative problems. In order to
give all interested parties the best service and to make the workshop a real
success, NATO and STCU have decided to postpone the event, originally
scheduled for 25 and 26 May 2005, until next year.
The organizers apologize for this
inconvenience and would ask for your patience and understanding. A workshop will take place in Kyiv, Ukraine, (dates to be confirmed), organized
jointly by NATO and the Science and Technology Centre in Ukraine (STCU).
The purpose of the workshop, entitled “From Science to Business”,
is to provide the opportunity for information exchange and “matchmaking” between
research scientists and industry representatives, taking into account
R&D potential and needs. The areas to be addressed are:
- bio- and
medical technologies;
- new materials, nanotechnology;
- aerospace;
and
- renewable energy and energy-conservation technologies.
Participants
will come from NATO and Partner countries, and notably from Ukraine,
Azerbaijan, Georgia and Uzbekistan. The workshop falls within the
security-related priority research topic of Human and Societal Dynamics.
