KFOR troops movement on the road through Kosovo

On Monday the 17th of November, a convoy of KFOR vehicles belonging to the German/Austrian Battalion will move during the morning hours through Kosovo, from Mitrovica to Urosevac/Ferizaj. This movement is not in response to, or in preparation for, any current situation either on-going or expected within Kosovo.

Next week, the German/Austrian Battalion, temporarly deployed to Kosovo, will conduct operations in Kamenica/Dardana Municipality taking part in a routinely scheduled operational rehearsal. After that the Battalion will be further deployed in PRIZREN Municipality.

The operational rehearsals are to ensure NATO troops are well trained and familiar with the Kosovo environment.

During the past three weeks the Operational Reserve Force Battalion operated in Mitrovica and Sbrica/Skenderaj municipalities.

The KFOR troops will try to minimize any setback that will occur. It is asked that everyone be patient to avoid any incidents.
