PRISTINA, Kosovo, 28 August 2008 – During a ceremony held this morning at Film City, COM KFOR Lieutenant General de MARNHAC remembered the soldiers who passed away during their service in support of KFOR to provide a safe and secure environment to the people of Kosovo.
During the past nine years, since KFOR’s entry into Kosovo, there were 157 servicemen or women who paid this ultimate sacrifice in support of the KFOR mission. “Today, we honor them and pay tribute them, by continuing to execute our mission with the highest level of professionalism we can offer to them”, COMKFOR said.
This quiet ceremony was one of the last for the Lt Gen de MARNHAC as COMKFOR before the change of command on the 29th August.
