Change of Command at Austrian-Swiss Maneuver Battalion DULJE
On 28 September, the change-of-command ceremony of Maneuver Battalion Dulje took place in Camp Casablanca, marking the transfer of command to the 19th Austrian Contingent in Suva Reka / Suhareke.
The Commander of Multinational Task Force South, Brigadier General Robert Prader passed on the command responsibility for the battalion to the new commanding officer, Lieutenant Colonel Manfred Hofer.
Brigadier General Robert Prader expressed his gratitude to the battalion’s departing commander, Lieutenant Colonel Hans Otto Hrbek, and to the outgoing contingent for the accomplished achievements and for the support and assistance rendered for the establishment of a safe and secure environment for Kosovo.
In Austria, Lieutenant Colonel Manfred Hofer serves as commanding officer of a light infantry battalion. He had already accomplished a tour of duty as staff officer with Maneuver Battalion Dulje from 2000 until 2001.
