Cross Maneuver Battalion Training at MNTF South
From the beginning, until the end of July, the three battalions of the Multinational Task Force South (MNTF S) conducted cross training. The focus was on operational command and control in the case of riots within the AOR of the MNTF S.
Missions of the battalions
Each of the three Maneuver Battalions task was to reinforce the other two battalions with company-sized CRC-capable forces.
Theory and practice in all three battalions
The Austrian Maneuver Battalion (MAN BN) Dulje was the first battalion to conduct this multinational training.
A general briefing on the situation and the mission of the battalion took place. Afterwards, the commanders of the other battalions (battalion to platoon level) were familiarized with the terrain at the neuralgic spots in the AOR of the Maneuver Battalion Dulje and in the area of operations of the reinforced companies. The practical part was concluded with a CRC demonstration of the 2nd Armored Infantry Company of the Austrian Battalion.
