Security Personnel of MNTF S Train in Camp Casablanca

The Close Protection Team of General Robert Prader underwent target practice on the firing range in Camp Casablanca on Saturday. The team's mission is to protect personnel from attacks at all times. In order to guarantee this protection, soldier's regularly train with their weapons.

Live Ammunition

The aim of the exercise was to train the use of various weapons and to consolidate competence. Soldiers underwent various exercises with live ammunition An example would be the evacuation of personnel from a danger zone.

"Cold Shot Exercise"

Each training unit began with a so-called "Cold Shot Exercise". With cold weapons, the security personnel attempt to score as high as possible. Ten shots were fired on a rifle target from a distance of ten meters. The objective was to have a hit pattern diameter not larger than an A4 sheet. Afterwards, the weapons were zeroed.

Concentration, Perspective and Precision

“Single possible situation” exercises were carried out on the basis of a scenario. Concentration, perspective and precision - these are the vital keywords for each member of the close protection team in order to react quickly in a dangerous situation.
