COMKFOR visits the municipality of Decane
The city of Decane, destroyed by 85% during the conflict in 1999, is today a flourishing city that regroups 33 villages and 40 000 inhabitants.

The city of Decane, destroyed by 85% during the conflict in 1999, is today a flourishing city that regroups 33 villages and 40 000 inhabitants.
COMKFOR met Decane’s mayor, Mr Berisha, and principal local political representatives in order to remind the essential conditions for economic development: “security and respect of laws, main conditions to attract investors”.
He visits then the Lokaj Plast factory, specialized in the manufacture of plastic materials. This company, created thanks to a partnership with a German firm, exports today its products in Switzerland and in Albania. The enterprise constitutes today a local model of development.
