On Thursday 24th of July 2008, a few weeks before he finishes his one year-mandate at the head of KFOR, Lieutenant General Xavier Bout de Marnhac paid a visit to the Multinational Task Force North.
After being welcomed at camp Maréchal de Lattre de Tassigny at Novo Selo by Multinational Task Force North Commander Brigadier General Claude Mathey, COMKFOR went to the Serbian enclave of Priluzje/Prelluzhe in the South of the area of responsibility of this force where he met the soldiers of the Moroccan battalion.
Afterwards, COMKFOR took a path to the shooting range of Buljinovac in the area of responsibility of the Danish battalion. This visit permitted, as he hoped, to see the MNTF-N troops deployed on the ground.
