MSU conduct CIMIC activities

On May 22nd, 2008, an operation, spearheaded by the CIMIC cell of the MSU, allowed the build-up of several facilities to the Serbian hospital of Gracanica.

Materials, such as, medical beds, rolling chairs, walking frames and screens were delivered to increase the productivity of the hospital.

During this mission, leaders, such as professor Sekulic, the general manager of the establishment, colonel Stjernfalk, the J9 chief, lieutenant colonel Bouley, chief of the French MSU gendarmerie detachment, and lieutenant colonel Grisolia, were present to help enforce the importance of this unprecedented goal.

The benefits of having influential leaders present during this mission allowed them to exchange their points of view on the future of Kosovo and on the sanitary needs of the local hospitals and clinics.

The MSU CIMIC cell, managed by adjudant Bruno Salvi, is composed of 3 French gendarmes and 2 carabinieries. The entire list of goods and supplies distributed to the various establishments and local population came from Italy.

Due to the constant threat of increased tension between the plethora of ethnic groups who cohabit the territory of Kosovo, the CIMIC’S unique daily goal in bringing comfort to the region and relieving the years of suffering is well on the way.
