CIMIC inauguration at Socanica for Multinational Task-Force North

Brigadier General Claude Mathey, Multinational Task-Force North commander in Kosovo, inaugurated on the 6th of June 2008 the annexe of St. Jovan Monastery, in the Municipality of Socanica, in the south of Leposavic (North of the Kosovo).

This KFOR civil-military action came to an end in one month, between the need expression and its realization. Just as KFOR knows how to react quickly in order to maintain or to restore a safe and secure environment, they are also reactive to help populations.

This woodshed was built by the Task-Force North engineering company, and will be used for the monastery apiculture activities. It was financed by French funding for about 2000€. It also allowed Task-Force North soldiers to reinforce their proximity ties with the inhabitants of the region.
