French Armed Forces Chief of Staff visits the MNTF-N
From June 2nd to 3rd 2008, General GEORGELIN, French Armed Forces Chief of Staff (AFCS), visited the Multinational Task-Force North (MNTF-N), near from Mitrovica in Kosovo.

From June 2nd to 3rd 2008, General GEORGELIN, French Armed Forces Chief of Staff (AFCS), visited the Multinational Task-Force North (MNTF-N), near from Mitrovica in Kosovo.
General GEORGELIN visited the French soldiers based in Mitrovica. He then came to the “Courthouse”, where the events of March 17th (twenty French soldiers injured) took place.
Then, French AFCS came by night to visit a vehicle check-point at Socanica, in the south of Leposavic.
The day after, General GEORGELIN visited the Nothing Hill Battalion (NHBAT), in charge of the north zone of our AOR, and the frontier post “Gate 1”, the border line of Kosovo. General GEORGELIN’s visit ended at the French Battalion (FREBAT), where he presided over the ceremony of transfer of authority, and decorated some soldiers present to Courthouse on March 17th with the Military Value Cross.
