Commander Kosovo Force Lieutenant General Xavier de Marnhac, accompanied by the Commander Kosovo Protection Corps Lieutenant General Sylejman Selimi, made a visit to the KPC Protection Zone I Dec. 11, 2007, in Srbica/Skenderaj.
During the visit, COMKFOR General de Marnhac had a meeting with the Commander of the KPC PZ I, Brigadier-General Bashkim Jashari. The main topics of discussion in this meeting were the activities of the KPC PZ I for 2007 and the future of KPC.
"Such meetings enable me to get informed about the situation inside the KPC and let them know that we are working hard for the future of the KPC," said General De Marnhac. "For the time being, I think KPC is a civil organization, and the drills that we just saw were in accordance with the KPC mission. The future of the KPC is linked with the Kosovo status issue. NATO and KPC are closely cooperating regarding the issue of KPC's future."
Meanwhile, KPC Commander General Selimi said that the KPC and KFOR have good relations, and they are closely cooperating on different activities.
