ISAF supports humanitarian effort

KABUL, Afghanistan – ISAF’s Turkish Battle Group and Civil-Military Cooperation teams have delivered humanitarian provisions packages for 500 Afghan families in Khud Hill.


KABUL, Afghanistan – ISAF’s Turkish Battle Group and Civil-Military Cooperation teams have delivered humanitarian provisions packages for 500 Afghan families in Khud Hill.
The Turkish Task Force organized the humanitarian aid project. Turkish soldiers, ISAF Post Operations Humanitarian Relief Fund and the Turkish CIMIC contributed to the project.
The provision boxes contained the basic food staples such as flour, sugar, vegetable oil, tea, macaroni, dates, rice, beans and other basic needs.
“Taking care of people and providing for them is an important aspect of winning the hearts and minds,” said Major Charles Anthony, ISAF spokesman.
