KABUL, Afghanistan – ISAF troops executed a deliberate operation to seize an ammunition cache in Kabul province recently, which yielded a large cache of ammunition containing 350 mortar rounds, 67 SPG-9 rockets, 58 RPG-7 rockets and approximately 6000 rounds of ZK-1.
An ISAF explosive-ordnance disposal team catalogued the explosives and destroyed them on the spot.
The success of this operation demonstrates ISAF’s resolve to deny insurgents the ability to pose a threat against the GIRoA.
