School supplies, food and medicine donated in Kabul
KABUL, Afghanistan - On Saturday, the Regional Command-Capital (RC-C) Civil Military Co-operation (CIMIC) team, Turkish Battle Group and Portuguese Company donated school supplies, food and medicine donations to the residents of Kabul province.
The team donated 60 school bags, 60 writing boards and numerous kites to the children of the Zakor Shahmina School. Teachers received radios and thermoses. The team distributed 160 food packages to disabled people, and the Rahman Mina clinic received 600,000 units of medicine, including antibiotics, stomach drugs, and analgesics.
“All participating nations are here to help Afghanistan and I believe that together we will make peace progress,” said Brig. Gen. Pierre de Villiers, RC-C commander.
