Last day for media to place bid for ISAF Change of Command Ceremony
KABUL, Afghanistan – Today is the last day for media to place bids to attend the ISAF Change of Command Ceremony on Tuesday, June 3 at ISAF Headquarters. General Dan K. McNeill, US Army will hand over command to General David D. McKiernan, US Army.
Due to restricted space and increased security precautions, media attendance at this event will be strictly limited to registered agents who possess a current media pass and who are entered in the Biometric Automated Toolset (BAT).
In addition, only company owned satellite-broadcasting vehicles will be allowed at the event.
Media agencies that meet these requirements and wish to attend are required to bid for a spot by sending an e-mail with the following information to the HQ ISAF Public Affairs press office (pressoffice@hq.isaf.nato.int): 1. Name of news agency; 2. Names and title of those attending and; 3. Current registration and BATed status (for example: “Current registration and BATed” or “Current registration but NOT BATed.”)
Media must place their bids by 5:00pm on Saturday, May 31. There will be no exceptions.
(NOTE: Media show-time will be no later than 6:30 a.m. at the ISAF HQ front gate the day of the event.)
