NATOs Military Committee visits the Netherlands for meetings, with Chiefs of Defence in attendance

NATO’s Military Committee will hold a series of informal meetings in the Netherlands with NATO Chiefs of Defence in attendance from 02 – 04 September. General Dick Berlijn, the Netherlands Chief of Defence will welcome the Chairman, General Ray Henault and the other participants.

The Military Committee is NATO's highest military authority comprising the permanent military representatives of the NATO member countries at its Headquarters in Brussels.

This informal meeting will focus on a number of topics including progress being made with NATO’s Response Force (NRF), operational issues in Afghanistan and transformation within the Alliance.

General Henault and General Berlijn will hold a joint press conference at 1150 on 03 September at the Grand Hotel Huis ter Duin in Noordwijk aan Zee.
