General Harald Kujat, Chairman of NATO’s Military Committee visits Ukraine from 11-13 February 2004

by General Harald Kujat, Chairman of the NATO Military Committee
General Harald Kujat, Chairman of the Military Committee, NATO’s highest military authority, will visit Kiev, Ukraine from 11-13 February 2004. He will be hosted by Colonel General Olexander Zatynaiko, Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

General Kujat will meet with Mr. Viktor Yanukovych, Prime Minister of Ukraine, Mr. Yevhen Marchuk, Minister of Defence, Mr Volodymyr Horbulin, Advisor to the President and Chairman of the National Centre for Euro-Atlantic Integration, Mr. Mr. Olexander Chalyi, First Deputy Foreign Minister, Mr. Heorhiy Kruchkov, Head of the Parliamentary Committee on National Security and Defence, and other senior Ukraine officials and military staff.

He will also visit the Ukraine National Defense Academy.

During his visit, General Kujat will be discussing matters of common military interest.
