NATO’S Military Committee visits Stavanger, Norway from 16-17 July 2003 Members of NATO’s Military Committee, NATO’s highest military authority will visit the Norwegian National Joint Headquarters in Stavanger, Norway from 16-17 July 2003. They will be welcomed by Lieutenant General Thorstein Skiaker, Commander of the Norwegian National Joint Headquarters and will attend a ceremony marking the beginning of the establishment of NATO’s new Joint Warfare Centre (JWC), which comes under the command of Allied Command of Transformation (ACT) in Norfolk, USA. This Centre is one of the major tools for ACT to develop new joint concepts for NATO. At the same time, the Military Committee will discuss strategic and operational questions on current issues.
