General Harald Kujat, Chairman of
NATO'S Military Committee
Visits Turkey on 15 November 2002
General Harald KUJAT, Chairman of the Military Committee, NATO's highest
military authority, will visit Ankara on 15 November 2002. He will meet
with the newly appointed Commander of the Turkish Armed Forces and Chief
of the Turkish General Staff, General Hilmi ÖZKÖK.
Prior to the meeting, there will be a wreath-laying ceremony at ANITKABIR,
the MUSTAFA KEMAL ATATÜRK Mausoleum.
This is General Kujat's first visit to Turkey as Chairman of NATO's Military
Committee. The purpose of his visit is to discuss current NATO military
issues and to exchange views on matters of common military interest.
