Visit of the Military Committee
to Task Force Fox and KFOR
on 22 and 23 May 2002
On 22 and 23 May 2002 the Military
Committee will visit the Headquarters of NATO's Task Force FOX
in the Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia and of the Kosovo
Force (KFOR). The Military Committee is NATO's highest military
authority comprising the permanent Military Representatives of
the NATO member countries to NATO Headquarters, Brussels.
The visit will focus on background briefings on the two missions
and current operations as well as on future developments in
the area. It will also involve a visit to one of the Multinational
Brigades in Kosovo for first-hand information. This visit symbolises
NATO's continuing strong commitment and support for the missions
in the Balkans and their achievements.
Earlier this year on 14 March the MC visited NATO's Stabilisation
Force (SFOR) in Bosnia-Herzegovina.
