New Chairman of NATO's Military Committee Today the Military Committee, the highest military authority of NATO, elected its new Chairman, General Harald KUJAT, German Air Force German Chief of Defence, who will succeed the present Chairman, Admiral Guido VENTURONI, after the June 2002 Ministerial meetings. The precise handover date is subject to the mutual agreement of the outgoing and incoming Chairmen. A biography of General Kujat is available in the NATO Press Centre or on the NATO website.
