Military Committee meets in Greece and Turkey1. The Military Committee, NATO's highest military authority, will hold meetings in Athens, Greece on 11 September and in Istanbul, Turkey on 15 September 2000. Chaired by Admiral Guido Venturoni, the Military Committee will focus its work onthe exchange of information and views on the situation in the Balkans. Another main topic will be an initial exchange of views on the review of NATO's Force Structure. 2. At the invitation of the Chief of Defence of Greece, General Manousos Paragioudakis, and the Chief of Defence of Turkey, General Hüseyin Kivrikoglu, the Military Committee will also be informed about the current situation and future development of the Greek and Turkish Armed Forces. 3. The two Strategic NATO Commanders, SACEUR and SACLANT will also be present.
