Women in the NATO Forces - looking ahead

The annual conference of the Committee on Women in the NATO Forces
will be held at the NATO Headquarters, Brussels from 22-26 May 2000.

Approximately 100 people (women and men, both military and civilian)
will meet, from the NATO alliance nations, plus invited guests from Romania, Slovenia and Australia.

Topics to be discussed include: the status of women in NATO's Armed
Forces, policy changes, training and career development.

Press Conference
The Chairperson of the Committee on Women in the NATO Forces, Lieutenant Colonel Elleke Overbeke, will give a press conference on Thursday 25 May at 1030 hours in the Brosio Room, where expertise will be on hand to answer general and specific questions relating to women in all NATO nations. All accredited journalists are invited to attend.

Accreditation
Journalists wishing to cover the meetings will be allowed into the NATO
premises on presentation of a NATO accreditation pass or a valid press pass.
