Farewell of the Chairman of the Military Committee General Klaus Naumann will complete his appointment as Chairman of the NATO Military Committee, on Thursday 6 May 1999. Press De-Brief - 4 May 1999 General Naumann wishes to address the media on the subject of his Chairmanship on Tuesday 4 May 1999 from 1630 until 1730 hrs in the Joseph Luns Press Theatre. Handover Ceremony - 6 May 1999 At a ceremony at NATO Headquarters, General Naumann will formally hand over the Chairmanship of the Military Committee to his successor, Admiral Guido Venturoni (Italian Navy).
