Euro-Atlantic Partnership Military Committee to meet in permanent
session for the first time
The Euro-Atlantic Partnership Military Committee (EAPMC) in Permanent
Session will meet at NATO Headquarters for the first time on
Thursday, 13 November 1997 at 0930 hours. Including all 16 NATO
member countries there are presently 44 EAPC members. All nations
have been invited to send their Military Representatives.
General Klaus Naumann, the Chairman of the Military Committee (NATO's
highest military authority), will chair the meeting. The agenda will
cover information and discussion on the situation in the Former
Yugoslavia and peace support operations, and updates on NATO's
internal and external adaptation process will be provided to
participants.
In addition, further work will be done on the preliminary agenda for
the upcoming EURO-ATLANTIC PARTNERSHIP Military Committee meeting at
Chief of Staff Level, which will take place on 4 December 1997.
