NATO's Military Committee to visit Canada and the United States of America The Military Committee in Chief of Staff Session, the highest military authority in NATO, will conduct its 1997 tour through Canada and the United States of America, at the invitation of the respective Chiefs of Defence. The Military Committee will be widely informed about both countries' military posture and forces. During the tour (9-19 September) two formal meetings of the Committee will be held, where the situation in the Former Yugoslavia and the external, as well as internal, adaptation process of the Alliance will be the main topics of discussion. Il sera donn au Comit militaire d'amples informations sur la posture et les forces militaires des deux pays.
