Chairman Military Committee To Visit Russian Federation The Chairman of NATO's Military Committee, General Klaus Naumann, will pay a visit to the Russian Federation on 23 - 26 March 1997, on the invitation of the Chief of the General Staff of the Russian Armed Forces, Army General V. Samsonov. This visit underlines the particular importance of NATO - Russia relations and the ongoing political-military consultations with Russia on her future relationship with the Alliance. General Naumann is expected to meet with several political authorities and high level representatives from the Presidential Cabinet, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the DUMA and will have talks with Army General Samsonov. He will also address students and faculty of the Academy of the General Staff.
