in Cooperation Session
At Chief of Defence/Chief of General Staff Level,
24 April 1996

Date and Place

The Military Committee in Chiefs of Staff Session, NATO's Senior Military Authority, will hold the first meeting in 1996 on Tuesday, 23 April 1996.

On Wednesday, 24 April 1996 the fifth Military Committee Meeting in Cooperation Session at the Chief of Defence/Chief of General Staff Level with representatives from NACC/PfP countries will be held.

Both meetings will be held at the NATO Headquarters in Brussels.

News Conference

The Chairman of the Military Committee, General Klaus Naumann, will hold the first news conference in his new appointment on 24 April 1996.

Accreditation

  1. Journalists holding permanent NATO press cards need not apply for accreditation but are asked simply to check in at the accreditation desk on arrival.

  2. Correspondents not in possession of a NATO permanent press card will be admitted to the press zone on presentation of numbered individual NATO press passes. Advanced application for this accreditation may be made by filling in the enclosed forms. Please return the completed forms as soon as possible to:
    PUBLIC INFORMATION ADVISER IMS, NATO HQ, B-1110 BRUSSELS, BELGIUM.

  3. Further forms may be obtained from the Public Information Adviser, IMS.

  4. NATO Press passes will not be mailed to applicants. They may be collected from the accreditation desk in the Press Area from 08.00 on Tuesday, 23 April 1996.

NOTE: NATO reserves the right to withhold press cards in cases where no advance application has been submitted.

Parking

Correspondents are advised that they will not be able to bring vehicles into the NATO compound. Parking place is available outside the NATO main gate.
