Egyptian parliamentarians visit NATO HQ

Members of the Foreign Affairs and Defence Committees of the Egyptian Parliament, headed by the Deputy Speaker, Mr. Abdel Aziz Mohmoud Moustafa, visited NATO Headquarters on 29 May and met with NATO Secretary General Mr. Jaap de Hoop Scheffer.

During the visit, the distinguished Egyptian Parliamentarians also met with NATO’s Assistant Secretary General for Defence Policy and Planning, Mr. John P. Colston, the Assistant Secretary General for Operations, Amb. Adam Kobieracki and were briefed by other Alliance officials on NATO’s Transformation, the Mediterranean Dialogue, NATO’s Outreach to the broader Middle East region, Scientific and Environmental programmes and the Military Cooperation under the enhanced Mediterranean Dialogue partnership.
