Lt. Gen Luis Felu

Lt. Gen Luis Felíu was promoted to Lieutenant General and appointed Commander of the Spanish Land Manoeuvre Force in November 1998. Previously, he served as Deputy Chief of the Army Staff.

Lt. Gen Luis Felíu was born the 31st December of 1939. He joined the Army in 1956 as a cadet in the Military Academy (Zaragoza). Along his career he has got a long international experience including his post of Head of Communications and Information Systems Division of the IMS and later as Director NHQC3S when this NATO Body was first established. He also has an important command experience including his appointment as Deputy Commander UN Forces in Bosnia-Herzegovina (UNPROFOR BH COMMAND) in Kiseljak, year 1993 and command of the Strategic Signals Regiment n° 22 of the Spanish Army.

Lt. Gen Luis Felíu is a graduate of the Spanish and UK Army Staff College and NATO Defence College. He has also completed several national and NATO courses in areas like Signals, EW, Parachutist, Commando Operations, Command of Mountain Units and others.

Lt. Gen Luis Felíu is married to Estela Hernandez Seoane. They are parents of three children.
