3. Professional Experience

From 1984 to 1996 he served at the Military Training Centre at DIEKIRCH, where he successively went through the following assignments :

Infantry platoon leader, company commander, personnel officer and chief of logistics

From 1st of April to October 92 he commanded the 1st LU UNPROFOR contingent in former Yugoslavia. In 1997, he worked as a staff member of the European Community Monitoring Mission (ECMM) in Sarajevo.

From April 98 to Jan 02, he occupied the functions of National Military Representative to SHAPE, Deputy Military Representative to the NATO Military Committee and Military Advisor to the Permanent Representative at NATO.

On 26 Jan 02, he was appointed Military Representative to the Military Committee to NATO and to the Military Committee to the European Union.
